Underage children of Korean National F-2-2

A minor child of Korean, or a child born from a marriage of which an either of parents is Korean (including de facto marriage) and recognized by the Minister of Justice of ROK

Eligibility criteria for application

You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are a foreign minor child of a Korean parent

Visa Type

You can apply for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months.
Periods of stay for this visa will be granted for up to 90 days.

Documents

① Visa Application Form (Form No. 17), passport, a photo in a standard format, fee
② Official documents proving that the applicant is a minor of a Korean national
③ Documents proving the relation between a Korean national and an underage child, and the relation of custodianship.
④ A letter of guarantee of a Korean father or mother who has custodianship (If your father or mother has another spouse or partner, you also need to submit the letter of guarantee of the spouse or partner.)
⑤ If you cannot prove a custodianship over the child, then you have to submit an agreement signed by a person with parental rights or by a patron who have the same nationality as the child (If the child does not have the person with parental rights or the patron, you have to submit official documents or authenticated certificates proving that you do not have the person with parental rights/the patron)

※ The head of Korean diplomatic missions abroad may request for additional documents depending on the condition of the country of residence/jurisdiction if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.

② An invitation Letter
③ Documents proving the relation between a Korean national and a respective underage child
– Documents proving a biological relation such as the DNA test results or Birth Certificates
④ A letter of guarantee from your Korean father or mother
