Household assistant of high-tech investor F-1-23
A person who plans to work for an advanced technology investor as a household assistant under contract with him/her
You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are a household assistant of a foreign investor who has invested $100,000 or more in high tech information business and acquired a status of stay of a Corporate/Foreign Investor (D-8), a Resident (F-2), or a Permanent Resident (F-5)
※ The person must have been employed for at least 1 year by the same employer in other countries.
※ A foreign investor must be a CEO or an executive of a high tech company with at least three Korean full-time workers.
You can apply for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months.
Periods of stay for this visa will be granted initially for up to 1 year.

① Visa Application Form (Form No. 17), passport, a photo in a standard format, fee
② A Foreign Investment Notification form (A certified copy of unabridged Corporate Register or a copy of Business Registration Certificate ) or a copy of Certificate of FDI Company Registration
※ If you are a visa holder of Business Venture (D-8-2) and Technology and Business Startup (D-8-4), Business venture confirmation or a prospective venture confirmation
※ If you are a visa holder of Business Startup (D-8-4), you must submit documents proving industrial property rights and other certificates to prove the rights to technology and other copyrights
③ An employer’s proof of employment (i.e. certificate of identification)
④ A document proving the income status of the employer
– A receipt for earned income tax withholding, certificate of income amount, payslip, a copy of an applicant’s bankbook
※ The employer’s income should be three times more than gross national income (GNI) of the previous year announced by the Bank of Korea
⑤ A document proving a company is hiring Korean full-time workers (for those whose investment is worth less than US $500,000)
※ e.g. receipt for earned income tax withholding, certificate indicating the amount of income, payslip, a copy of bankbook
⑥ An employment contract of household assistant
⑦ A letter of guarantee
⑧ A document proving a level of education of the household employee
⑨ A document proving that the household assistant has been hired by the employer for at least one year
※ e.g. Employment contract, payslip, a copy of bankbook
※ The head of Korean diplomatic missions abroad may request for additional documents depending on the condition of the country of residence/jurisdiction if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.
You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are a household assistant of a foreign investor who has invested more than $100,000 and less than $500,000 in an advanced IT business, and acquired status of stay of a Corporate/Foreign Investor (D-8), a Resident (F-2), or a Permanent Resident (F-5)
※ A foreign investor must be a CEO or a board member of an advanced IT firm which has 3 or more full-time Korean workers.
※ A household assistant who is hired abroad for at least 1 year can apply a visa to a Korean diplomatic mission abroad.
You can apply for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months.
Periods of stay will be granted for up to 90 days.

⑧ A document proving the level of education of a household assistant
※ If a representative is hired, he/she must submit a Power of Attorney from an applicant, his/her employment certificate and A copy of ID Card.
※ The head of Immigration Office may request for additional documents if it is deemed necessary to review the purpose of entry, validity of an invitation, and qualification of an inviting organization or an invitee.
