VisaHan warmly welcomes you!
Please carefully review the following important notes when submitting your application for a Family Visit Visa (C-3-1).
1. Instructions for completing the visa application form and other documents
– A visa may be denied if the information provided in the Visa Application Form, Invitation Letter, or Guarantee Letter is inaccurate or incomplete.
– Once the application has been submitted, we do not accept additional documents sent by post or email. Therefore, please prepare your application thoroughly before submission.
2. Restrictions on issuing visas for siblings
Siblings of a marriage migrant may be denied a Family Visit Short-Term Visa (C-3-1) if the stated purpose of visit is solely “to help with childcare of nieces/nephews.”
3. Notes when preparing documents through an agency or service company
If the inviter does not personally write the Invitation Letter but instead delegates the entire process to an agency or service company, the authenticity of the invitation cannot be verified, and the visa may therefore be denied.
4. Cases in which a Family Visit Short-Term Visa (C-3) may be denied
- Incorrectly stating the intended period of stay in Korea
– The maximum stay for a Family Visit Short-Term Visa (C-3-1) is 90 days, so if the intended stay is stated as 6 months, 1 year, 5 years, etc., the visa will be denied.
*Even when applying for a multiple-entry Family Visit Visa (C-3), the intended stay must still be stated as no more than 90 days.
– Please indicate a maximum intended stay of less than 90 days from the date the visa is issued.
- Failure to state the intended place of stay
– If the applicant does not clearly state the intended address of stay in Korea, the visa will be denied.
– Please specify whether the inviter and invitee will be living together in Korea.
- Incomplete reason for invitation
– If the reason for invitation is stated vaguely or inadequately, the visa will be denied.
* Example: Simply writing “Family visit” as the reason for invitation will result in denial.
– Please provide a specific and detailed reason for the invitation so that the examiner can verify its authenticity.
- Inappropriate reason for invitation:
– If the reason stated in the Invitation Letter does not match the type of visa being applied for, the visa will be denied.
Example: Applying for a Family Visit Short-Term Visa (C-3-1) but stating the purpose of invitation as “tourism.”
Thank you!
