A person who plans to engage in a research or receive training/education at an organization, company, or academic institution except an academic institution equivalent to high school or below, or a language institution affiliated with a foreign academic institution in ROK or at a tertiary education center established in accordance with the Higher Education Act
You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are a consigned trainees invited by the Ministry of National Defense
You can apply for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months.
Periods of stay for this visa will be granted initially for up to 1 year.

① Visa Application Form (Form No. 17), passport, a photo in a standard format, fee
② An Invitation Letter issued by the Ministry of National Defense
※ The head of Korean diplomatic missions abroad may request for additional documents depending on the condition of the country of residence/jurisdiction if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.
You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are:
– A person who plans to practice skills/techniques at a public research institute or a public training center
– A person who plans to engage in on-the-job training or research as an intern at a foreign investment firm or a company invested in a foreign country
You can apply for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months.
Periods of stay will be granted for up to 6 months.

① Application form for Confirmation of Visa Issuance (Form No. 21), a copy of passport, a photo in a standard format
② A document confirming an applicant’s training including research activities (i.e. A training course plan which includes schedule or others)
③ A document relevant to the establishment of the training facility
④ A document proving an applicant’s financial ability to support an him/herself during the stay
– A cost-payment confirmation if a training facility is paying for an applicant’s living expenses
– A bank statement of more than $3,000 on the account, a record of wire-transfer to ROK or currency exchange
⑤ A letter of guarantee(only when the Minister of Justice deems necessary or if you have not proved an applicant’s ability to pay for tuition and other living expenses)
⑥ Household register booklet including every family member and their Chinese ID Card (only for Chinese)
※ If a representative is hired, he/she must submit a Power of Attorney from an applicant, his/her employment certificate and A copy of ID Card.
※ The head of Immigration Office may request for additional documents if it is deemed necessary to review the purpose of entry, validity of an invitation, and qualification of an inviting organization or an invitee.
