Korean Arts and Culture D1-00

A person who plans to engage in a symposium or art-related activities not-for-profit (including those who plan to engage in a research or training in traditional culture and arts of the Republic of Korea)

Eligibility criteria for application

You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are a person who is invited by Korea Foundation or Arts Council Korea and is planning to engage in cultural artistic activities

Visa Type

You can apply for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months.
Periods of stay for this visa will be granted for up to 1 year.

Documents

① Visa Application Form (Form No. 17), passport, a photo in a standard format, fee
② An invitation letter
③ A document proving your institution is cultural-arts-oriented
– If you plan to learn from a particular specialist, then a certificate of experiences/qualifications of your specialist is needed
④ Resume or Certificate of employment history
⑤ A document proving your financial ability to afford yourself during your stay in the Republic of Korea

※ The head of Korean diplomatic missions abroad may request for additional documents depending on the condition of the country of residence/jurisdiction if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.

Eligibility criteria for application

You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are:

1. A person who plans to write a research paper or engage in creative works
2. A person who is involved with academic or purely artistic activities upon the invitation from non-profit academic or artistic association (except Korea Foundation and Arts Council Korea)
3. A person who wants to study about traditional Korean culture or arts, or learn from a Korean expert

You can apply for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months.
Periods of stay will be granted for up to 1 year.

Documents

① Application form for Confirmation of Visa Issuance (Form No. 21), a copy of passport, a photo in a standard format
② An invitation letter
③ A document proving an inviting institution is associated with culture or art
– when planning to learn from an expert, a certificate of employment history of the expert is required
④ A resume or a certificate of employment history
⑤ A document proving financial ability to support oneself during the stay in ROK

※ If a representative is hired, he/she must submit a Power of Attorney from an applicant, his/her employment certificate and A copy of ID Card.
※ The head of Immigration Office may request for additional documents if it is deemed necessary to review the purpose of entry, validity of an invitation, and qualification of an inviting organization or an invitee.
