Parents of international student F-1-13

You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are a family member (closer than second degree) of an international student paying for his/her own tuition who plans to enroll or is currently enrolled in an academic institution, including an elementary, middle/junior high, high school, or international school in accordance with 「Elementary and Secondary Education Act」or a foreign academic institution in accordance with 「Special Act on Establishment and Management of Foreign Educational Institutions in Free Economic Zones and Jeju International City」, who meets visa requirements such as sufficient funds for his/her stay

You can apply for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months.
Periods of stay will be granted for up to 1 year.

① Application form for Confirmation of Visa Issuance (Form No. 21), a copy of passport, a photo in a standard format
② An acceptance letter or Certificate of Enrollment
③ Documents demonstrating family relations in both original and translated copy (i.e. Household register booklet, Birth Certificate)
④ Documents demonstrating the living expenses (i.e. a bank statement proving that the standard amount of money has been deposited for at least 1 month)
⑤ Documents demonstrating an applicant’s financial ability
– A receipt of earned income tax, Real Estate Property Ownership Certificate, Real Estate Contract, Balance Statement issued( authenticated or notarized) by domestics/overseas banks or government organizations

※ If a representative is hired, he/she must submit a Power of Attorney from an applicant, his/her employment certificate and A copy of ID Card.
※ The head of Immigration Office may request for additional documents if it is deemed necessary to review the purpose of entry, validity of an invitation, and qualification of an inviting organization or an invitee.
