Short-Term Employee C-4

A person who plans to visit for a short-term employment such as temporary show, advertising·modeling, lecturing·speeching, research, technology consulting, etc.

Eligibility criteria for application

You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are a person who plans to work at a domestic company in a field of e-business (i.e. information technology, e-commerce), biotechnology, nanotechnology, advanced materials industry (metal, ceramics, and chemistry), transportation machinery, digital electronics, environment·energy, or technology management, and who have received an employment recommendation by the minister of respective department.

Visa Type

You can apply for a multiple-entry visa valid for 1 year. Periods of stay for this visa will be granted for up to 90 days.

Documents

① Visa Application Form (Form No. 17), passport, a photo in a standard format, fee
② Employment Contract
③ Employment Recommendation Letter from the respective department (affiliated organizations)
④ Documents relevant to the establishment of institution (A copy of Business Registration Certificate or a certified copy of Corporate Register )

※ The head of Korean diplomatic missions abroad may request for additional documents depending on the condition of the country of residence/jurisdiction if it is deemed necessary for visa evaluation.

Eligibility criteria for application

You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are a service provider who has been dispatched to the Republic of Korea based on a various services contract and who earns wages, including living expenses, from a government-owned company or a private corporation

※ Manual labor does not qualify for a Short-term Employee (C-4) visa.

Visa Type

You can apply for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months or a double-entry visa valid for 6 months.
Periods of stay will be granted for up to 90 days for a single-entry visa , and 30 days for a double-entry visa.

① Visa Application Form (Form No. 17), passport, a photo in a standard format, fee
② A copy of your service contract
③ A dispatch order or a proof of overseas assignment

Eligibility criteria for application

You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are a person who is applicable for a Professor(E-1) visa or a Foreign National of Special Ability (E-7) visa, and plans to give a lecture, give public speeches, or research for less than 90 days on the basis of a contract for profits as an expert in a particular area or a university instructor
※ If the lecturer or speaker is not compensated other than flight and accommodation, he/she is eligible for a Short-term General (C-3-1) visa.

Visa Type

You can apply for a single-entry visa valid for 3 months or a double-entry visa valid for 6 months.
Periods of stay will be granted for up to 90 days for a single-entry visa, and 30 days for a double-entry visa.

Documents

① Visa Application Form (Form No. 17), passport, a photo in a standard format, fee
② An employment contract (on providing lectures·public speeches) or an invitation card that indicates lecture fees and others (a document of request for visa issuance cooperation)
③ A copy of degree certificate and proof of employment
④ A document related to the establishment of an inviting academic institution (a copy of Business Registration Certificate or a certified copy of unabridged Corporate Register and others)

Eligibility criteria for application

You are eligible to apply for this visa if you are a person staying in the Republic of Korea for less than 90 days, who plans to work for a short-run show, advertisement, fashion modeling or others for the purpose of making profits, or
A person who receives or will receive monetary compensation that is more than the living expenses and is other than cash prizes, in return for participating competitions on sports, Badook, or singing.
1) If you plan to perform in accordance with the Public Performance Act
2) If you plan to perform or engage in entertainment activities in hotel facilities or adult entertainment establishments, under the Tourism Promotion Act
3) If you receive or will receive monetary compensation exceeding his/her living expenses other than cash prizes in return for participating competitions on sports, Badook, or singing.

2. Additional documents for each case
Case 1) A recommendation letter from the Korea Media Rating Board (Some performances are exempt from submitting the letter), Performance Outline
Case 2) A performance recommendation letter by the Korea Media Rating Board, Entertainment activities outline, A certificate proving your qualification or experiences, A letter of guarantee
Case 3) An Invitation card or attendance confirmation issued by the host institution, A contract that indicates the wages/incentives for participating events (If such details are written on the invitation card, you do not have to submit the contract)
Case 4) An employment recommendation letter by the Minister of a respective department or a document proving the necessity of hiring**
* An employment recommendation letter from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism for advertisement, fashion models and a recommendation letter from the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning
** An employment recommendation letter from respective athletic clubs (associations) for athletes, coaches, judges OR an official document requesting for a visa cooperation from the Minister of respective departments OR a document explaining the purposes and outlines of invitations/businesses OR a confirmation issuance from the host institution for participants in athletic, badook, and singing competitions which gives out cash prizes
